First Move

What a crazy few weeks! We have made our first move from Gaylord, MI to Poplar, WI - home of the Gilderman's...

The movers came last Tuesday and Wednesday (10/22 & 10/23) and they didn't finish until around 8 PM Wednesday. The guy who estimated the job for them thought they would need to pack about 73 boxes, but they ended up packing 160! They worked really hard and worked around my mom, the kids and I very well.

Jonah had a fabulous time watching them tape boxes - anytime he heard the sound of the tape, he'd yell "He's Taping!!!" He also had a lot of fun climbing the towers of boxes that were scattered around the house!


Olivia had fun hiding in box forts throughout the house, she even slept in a box fort for our last night in the house. She filled her time taking pictures of the "old house so we can remember it". She took around 100 pictures, some are pretty interesting - the floor drain in the laundry room, the thermostat - ahh, the memories... :)


After the movers rolled out at 8 PM, we hit the road for Munisuing and stayed at the Americinn where there are a couple water slides in the pool area. The kids had a lot of fun the next morning and it helped to break up the long trip.

We're settled in with my parents for the next few weeks - our house is projected to close around November 21st... We are very excited to make that second move!!
